RARE OPPORTUNITY ! The inaugural release from Chichibu, The First (2011) stands as a cornerstone in the revival of artisanal Japanese whisky. Distilled in 2008 under Ichiro Akuto, this single malt comes primarily from ex‑bourbon barrels complemented by a Mizunara cask, and was bottled at 61.8% ABV, non‑chill‑filtered. Limited outturn of 7,400 bottles (here is N°557).

Highly praised upon release — named Japanese Whisky of the Year by Whisky Advocate — in spite of its young age, it displays remarkable depth: white fruits, citrus zest, light honey, fine spice and a long, structured finish, emblematic of early‑era Chichibu.
