Description from the seller
Floating in Grey
-
Title: "Floating in Grey"
Description:
Between stillness and movement, a world of traces, lines and random encounters unfolds. "Floating in Grey" does not speak loudly – the painting whispers. Black ink splatters meet soft, nebulous areas and create a moment that feels both controlled and free.
The circular shapes recall thoughts that come and go, memories that surface and then blur again. Nothing seems fixed, and that is the tension: the painting invites you to drift, without seeking a definite answer.

The canvas is delivered rolled.
Christoph Prein is an Austrian artist known for his abstract and contemporary works, created mainly with acrylic paints. Originally from St. Margarethen near Knittelfeld, Prein’s pieces are often characterized by their minimalist, abstract style and are carefully crafted from high-quality materials to ensure vibrant colors and longevity. In his art he frequently engages with themes such as identity, memory, and the exploration of human emotions, often pushing the boundaries between the visible and the invisible.
Prein’s approach to art is multidimensional, combining painting with elements of sculpture and installation. This unique style has earned him recognition in Austria and internationally, with exhibitions across Europe, North America, and Asia. His works often invite the viewer to reflect on the complexities of the modern world and the deeper aspects of the human experience.
For a painting measuring 210 x 120 cm, you need a stretched canvas frame (keilrahmen) of size 200 x 110 cm with a thickness of 2–4 cm.
You can then either simply stretch the canvas yourself or have it stretched by an artisan or gallery owner.
This is a handmade original, signed by the artist on the back and dated by year.
High-quality and lightfast acrylic paints have been applied on a multiple white-primed gallery canvas.
A varnish was also applied to protect the work.
This work is handmade and therefore unique!
--- Certificate of authenticity included ---
Beautify your private residence, law firm, practice or office and upgrade your premises in an elegant and stylish way.
If a person ventures into his innermost depths, into a sphere that rarely comes to light, into a space that is mysterious and hidden, waiting to be discovered, tickled awake, also tormentingly awakened, then art is born.
