Description from the seller

Historical Garland brooch with diamond and pearl – silver and 585 red gold

Elegant historic brooch in the beloved Garland style, believed to have been made at the end of the 19th century. The graceful design features slender bow, leaf, and garland motifs, richly set with diamonds and with a freely hanging pear-shaped pearl in the center.

The front is finished in silver, as is usual for high-quality diamond jewelry from this period, while the back is made of 585/1000 red gold. The brooch is set with a total of 67 diamonds in old cut and 8/8 cut, with a combined estimated weight of about 0.75 carat. Centrally hangs a pear-shaped pearl with a soft cream-colored luster.

The combination of silver, red gold, diamonds, and pearl gives this brooch a refined and romantic appearance that is characteristic of late 19th-century jewelry.
