Baume & Mercier Capeland Chronograph, reference 65542, circa 2005, stainless steel 39 mm case with automatic ETA 7753 movement, black dial, leather strap and long band (>200 mm), in very good condition with minor wear.
Description from the seller
The Baume & Mercier Capeland with ETA 7753 movement is one of those chronographs that the pre-owned market tends to undervalue, and precisely for this reason it represents a real opportunity today.
The Geneva house, founded in 1830, has built with the Capeland a serious watch: stainless steel case 39mm with a substantial thickness, olive-shaped pushers, an internally snail tachymeter scale and an external telemeter for complete instrument-like readability.
The automatic ETA 7753 caliber with 27 jewels is one of the most robust and reliable chronograph movements in modern Swiss production, appreciated by connoisseurs for its precision and ease of maintenance. The black dial with feuille silvered indices and hands is elegant without being cold. The date at 6 o'clock with dedicated quickset completes a fully non-compromising functional package. The crystal shows a mark at 1 o'clock that does not impair legibility - a detail disclosed transparently, as always.
An automatic chronograph of historical manufacture, at a price that reflects the real market, perfect for the discerning collector.
