Description from the seller

Suzuki GSX-R 600 SRAD – Year of manufacture 1999 – German vehicle – Ready to ride – Classic Youngtimer with great potential

For sale is a Suzuki GSX-R 600 SRAD from 1999, one of the most legendary supersport bikes of the 1990s. The SRAD series is regarded today as a real classic and enjoys a steadily growing demand among collectors, enthusiasts, and connoisseurs. Vehicles in near-original condition with German registration are increasingly rare and continuously gaining in attractiveness.

The machine impresses with its rev-hungry inline-four delivering around 110 hp, the distinctive SRAD design, and the direct, sporty riding character for which this series is still valued today.

Vehicle data

* Manufacturer: Suzuki
* Model: GSX-R 600 SRAD
* Year of manufacture / first registration: 1999
* Displacement: 600 cm³
* Power: approx. 110 hp
* Mileage: approx. 38,000 km
* Vehicle identification number: JS1AD111100105931
* German vehicle papers available
* Original key available

Technical condition

The engine runs quietly and cleanly, starts up, and the motorcycle is ready to ride. The transmission and clutch operate as far as currently known. The motorcycle was regularly used up until it was taken out of service and subsequently stored dry in a garage.

Due to the longer period of inactivity and the age, this is not a new vehicle but a Youngtimer over 25 years old. Therefore, before regular use or long trips, a full technical inspection—including all usual maintenance and wear inspections by the buyer or a specialized workshop—is recommended, as with any classic motorcycle.

Known points:

* The carburetors should be cleaned or checked due to the storage time.
* The braking system should be checked and serviced if necessary.
* The throttle grip requires a fine adjustment.
* The battery will need replacement.

In addition, due to age and storage time, further maintenance or wear-related work may be required. This can include fluids, filters, seals, tires (depending on age), chain, bearings, or other age-related worn parts. These cannot be conclusively assessed without a full disassembly and professional check and should be planned for a vehicle of this age.

Visual condition

The Suzuki is in a well-kept, age-appropriate condition. Signs of use such as minor scratches or typical signs of aging are present and are normal for a motorcycle from 1999. The fairing is complete and provides a very good base for refurbishment or restoration.

Tank, seat, and fittings are overall in a decent condition. No major, known accidents are present.

History

* Last major inspection (HU) around 2016–2018
* Used and cared for regularly up to about 2021/2022
* Then mostly not moved due to health reasons
* Stored dry in a garage

Documents

* German registration certificate part I and II available
* Original key available
* VIN and engine number present and legible
* No other documents or older maintenance records available
* Detailed photos and photos of the vehicle papers can be provided on request

Transport

Assistance with transport is possible by arrangement. Alternatively, you can of course arrange your own forwarding company.

Note on the sale

This is a used vehicle over 25 years old and explicitly not a restored or new motorcycle. The buyer should be aware that, despite being ready to ride, maintenance work may be required due to age or wear at any time. A viewing before placing a bid is strongly recommended.

The engine runs, the motorcycle is ready to ride and can be driven. Due to the longer storage time, a technical inspection is recommended before regular use.

The motorcycle is described to the best of my knowledge and belief. I am not aware of any deficiencies beyond those listed in this description. All statements are made without warranty.

Private sale. The sale is made under exclusion of all warranty of quality, guarantee, and returns.

Transport can possibly be organized by the buyer.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
