TEDD — Deco-style Bookends Pair with Little Birds — Patinated spelter on black marble, France, 1920–1930
Elegant pair of Art Deco-era bookends depicting groups of songbirds on flowering branches, crafted in spelter (zinc alloy) with two-toned gold and dark bronze patina. The sculptures, mirror images of each other, are mounted on rectangular bases of veined black marble.
Both pieces bear the original signature "TEDD" impressed at the base of the sculpture, French artist active during the Art Deco period.
