French antique coffee mill by Japy Frères, beech wood and cast iron, Beaucourt, circa 1920
An authentic antique coffee grinder from Japy Frères & Cie, produced in Beaucourt at the beginning of the 20th century. This classic manual grinder illustrates the durable quality and design of French craftsmanship.
Built in varnished beech wood with dovetail joinery, the piece features a metal hopper, an original crank mechanism with a decorative iron collar, and an internal burr system. Ground coffee is collected in the original sliding drawer with a turned wooden knob. The manufacturer’s plaque remains intact on the front face, confirming its provenance.
Both functional and decorative, this grinder makes an excellent addition to a collection of antique kitchen utensils or a refined rustic accent in any interior.
