For sale is a beautiful silver basket made in Riga during the Soviet era. The piece bears the official 875 silver fineness mark, alongside the Soviet assay mark (worker’s head in profile) with the Riga assay office “τ” symbol. The maker’s mark is “PG”.
The basket is richly decorated with a floral rim and a baroque-style cartouche with roses – an elegant and finely crafted item.
Height (with handle): 15 cm
Width: 12 cm
Weight: 188 g
Material: silver 875‰
Condition: good, without repairs or damage.
