Giuseppe Giglio is an Italian painter active in contemporary figuration, with a focus on portraiture. His works rework the aesthetics of the great masters through a contemporary sensibility: measured chiaroscuro, warm light, and meticulous attention to the rendering of the flesh. Veils, diadems, fabrics and jewelry become narrative elements that amplify the presence of the subjects, suspended between history and imagination. He primarily works in oil on canvas, building layered surfaces and deep tonalities.
