K.milla; One Hump Over the Line – Camel, an acrylic painting on canvas (55 × 75 cm), original, 2026, hand signed, from the Netherlands, depicting a minimalist landscape with a camel.
Description from the seller
This striking acrylic painting is part of a minimalist series in which bold, graphic color fields are combined with small, hyper-realistic details. A vast field of luminous yellow stretches across the canvas, meeting a clear blue sky at a sharp horizon line. The strong contrast between the two colors creates a composition that feels both serene and visually powerful.
Near the left side of the horizon, a solitary camel makes its way through the landscape. Rendered with delicate precision, the small figure introduces a narrative element within the expansive simplicity of the painting. Its presence emphasizes the immense scale of the surrounding space, turning the animal into both a focal point and a symbol of quiet endurance.
The composition evokes the feeling of an endless journey across an open landscape. The vast emptiness is not absence but possibility—inviting the viewer to imagine distant destinations beyond the horizon. The camel appears almost suspended between earth and sky, embodying a sense of freedom, solitude and exploration.
K.milla is known for blending design sensibilities with painterly storytelling. This artwork is a strong example of that signature style—minimalist, atmospheric and visually distinctive.
A unique and contemporary artwork that brings warmth, space and a sense of adventure to both modern and classic interiors.

About the artist:
K.milla is a visual artist whose work is rooted in a background in graphic design, where composition, balance and color are essential elements. The paintings are characterized by large, minimalist color fields combined with a single carefully rendered animal or bird, creating a quiet tension between abstraction and narrative. The horizon-like division between the planes gives the works a sense of stillness, space and contemplation.
Before focusing on painting, K.milla worked for more than 25 years as a graphic designer and illustrator at the Dutch design studio 2 MAAL EE. As creative work became increasingly digital, the artist felt a growing desire to reconnect with tactile materials, craftsmanship and the physical process of painting.
K.milla graduated in Graphic Design from St. Joost School of Art & Design and is self-taught as a painter. This combination of formal design training and intuitive painterly exploration results in works that balance precision with atmosphere, and simplicity with emotional depth.
