Panel: 24 x 18 cm
Frame: 26.5 x 20.5 x 3.5 cm

With a nod to Hokusai’s waves, a cheeky cat painting, painted with a fluid brushstroke by the Dutch-Danish artist Borgen Lindhardt.

She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Maastricht (1996). She uses Borgen Lindhardt as her signature name and is known for her “kimono series,” inspired by the work of G.H. Breitner. She creates oil paintings in which old masters, sometimes combined with personal elements (cat, painting tools and figurines and animals), form a new spectacle. Her style is characterized by a visible thick brushstroke. And she shifts from detailed and imaginative works to loose, sketch-like paintings.

Directly from the artist.

Framed in an old black wooden frame with signs of wear. Free of charge.

Carefully packed and shipped with tracking.

The painting has a protective layer of retouch varnish. After drying time (about a year), please apply a final varnish yourself to preserve the shine and color.
