Description from the seller
Basculating mirror, nicknamed "psiche", in Neoclassical/Empire revival style, typical of Italian production in the 1950s-1970s.
Structure in wood veneered with walnut burl or mahogany with a glossy finish in lacquer lacquer. The terminals and the drawer knob are in solid brass.
Mirror*: Oval, with a perimeter bevel. Tilting to adjust the angle.
- *Base*: Equipped with a convenient small storage drawer with a star-shaped knob in brass. It rests on four onion-shaped feet
Estimated era*: 1960s-1970s
*Excellent condition, as good as new.* The piece presents its original bright polish and no evident defects. The wood shows no scratches, chips, or missing parts. The mirror is perfectly intact, bright and free of halos, oxidation or "bloom" typical of age. The brass knobs are complete. A specimen kept in a manicured manner, probably little used.
