Description from the seller
Claudio Rolfi, born in Genoa in 1960. From his early works one notes the great fascination that Italian art of the 20th century has been able to exert on him, with great masters such as Casorati, Morandi, Carrà and de Chirico. In his forty years of artistic career there are more than seventy solo exhibitions and countless artistic events, among which TV programs entirely dedicated to him. The Maestro Rolfi’s artistic work has been discussed by the most important newspapers and broadcasting and radio stations. Among the most notable events is the major exhibition Centoeventigiorni held in Santa Maria degli Angeli, Rome, in 2002, inaugurated in the presence of Mrs. Franca Ciampi and Walter Veltroni; the exhibition at the Dopmiziano Museum in Rome; the solo show at Mondadori in Milan; the exhibition at the Palace of Culture in Reggio Calabria; and the BAM Baveno Arte Maggiore presented by Vittorio Sgarbi. The Maestro’s paintings have been used for about six years as set designs for the GEO program on Rai 3. His works are in many Italian collections, in the United States, Japan, Canada and throughout the rest of Europe.
