Around 1969, Citizen added the Rally Custom model to its Seven Star series, featuring a 25-jewel, 52 caliber (18,000 bph) movement with a seconds stop function; this model was designated 5290. In 1970, using the same case but this time with a 25-jewel, 72 caliber (21,600 bph) movement, Citizen added a Rally Custom model to its Custom V2 series. This caliber, also featuring a seconds stop function, is called the 7270. In my experience, these are even rarer than the Seven Star version, and one variant has a very dark blue dial. Although it appears blue in many lights, it reveals its true colors in sunlight.
