Andrea Krauß’s Memory Room_50 is an original acrylic painting on a high‑quality 3D cradled canvas in a minimalist beige, white and gold palette, measuring 70 cm high by 50 cm wide and depicting an inner scene, signed by the artist and in excellent condition, from Germany and sold directly by the artist, dated 2026 from the 2020s period.
Description from the seller
Andrea Krauß works in a combination of acrylic painting and line drawing, with the lines drawn directly into the acrylic paint to form a recessed relief.
“Memory Room” is an abstract exploration of space and memory. The acrylic painting enriched with sand texture gives the scene a tactile depth—as if the memory were anchored not only in lines and forms but also in the surface itself. The sketchy representation makes the space appear fragmentary, as if reconstructed from memory. The gentle, restrained colors reinforce the sense of transience, while the open composition leaves room for personal associations. A quiet moment capture that makes the fleeting and at the same time lasting nature of memories tangible.
**The artwork at a glance:**
- from the series “Memory Rooms” – impressions of memory spaces in unique painting
- acrylic painting impasto scraped - unique surface texture through sand
- painted on a very high-quality 3D stretcher frame stretched, ready to hang immediately
- signed on the back, numbered and with all image details provided
- shipping carried out professionally packaged in bubble wrap
- certificate of authenticity included
Andrea Krauß counts among the prominent positions of contemporary German painting. The prizewinner of the Kunstpreis der AOK Nordost (Berlin/Brandenburg) and former fellow of the renowned Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop completed her studies at the Braunschweig University of Fine Arts. For many years she has devoted herself consistently to painting and today lives and works in her studio in the heart of Berlin.
At the center of her artistic work is the connection of memory, atmosphere and landscape. Starting from personal impressions, Andrea Krauß develops pictured worlds that go beyond the individual and touch universal experiences of nature, space and transience. Recurring motifs are especially birches and other elements of nature, whose quiet presence merges with traces of human creation and memory.
Characteristic of her works is the multilayered combination of painting and drawing. In her acrylic paintings, through the use of sand, spatula techniques and embedded lines, fine relief structures are created that give the works a special tactile quality and spatial depth. The lines drawn directly into the layers of color look like inscribed memories and shape the artist's unmistakable handwriting.
Andrea Krauß's works have been presented in galleries, museums and renowned exhibitions and are now in numerous private collections. Her works persuade with their poetic power, their atmospheric density and the sensitive connection of natural observation and personal memory.
