Description from the seller
“Intermediate State”
Artist: original work by artist E. Pérez Lezcano
Technique: Acrylic on canvas
Dimensions: 70x100 cm
Presentation: The work is shipped unstretched, carefully packed in a rigid cardboard tube for maximum protection.
COA: Includes a hand-signed certificate of authenticity by the artist.
The work is articulated through a fragmented composition where planes, textures, and color build a visual language in permanent tension between balance and rupture. Geometry here does not function as a rigid structure, but as a mutable territory where forms expand, overlap, and continually transform within the pictorial space.
“Intermediate State” offers a reflection on transitional processes and ambiguous realities. Each element seems to exist between two states: between what is visible and what is hidden, between stability and dissolution, between memory and perception. The compositional fragmentation creates multiple reading points that invite the viewer to traverse the work from different emotional and symbolic layers.
The gaze, recurrent within the composition, appears as a symbol of consciousness and inner observation, while the contrast between warm and cool tones intensifies the sense of duality that runs through the entire piece. The material surfaces and the painterly gesture contribute an organic dimension that dialogues with the precision of the structural lines, creating a coexistence between impulse and control.
From a contemporary reinterpretation of Cubist language, the work does not seek to represent a fixed reality, but to capture a suspended, open, and unstable state; a space where perception remains in constant construction.
