A work of great interest for history, international chronicle, art, costume, politics and iconography of the 19th century. The magazine constitutes one of the most important testimonies of nineteenth-century European illustrated publishing.
Hundreds of engravings.
Volumes in excellent overall condition for their type and age. Solid bindings with normal signs of use and aging. Interiors very fresh, pages well preserved. Large folded plate present. Overall a specimen of quality higher than the average normally available on the antique market.
Note the presence of an interesting iconographic core dedicated to the astronomical observation of the lunar surface, consisting of a large general plate of the Moon and numerous detail engravings depicting craters and selenographic morphologies.
