Created in 2026, sold directly by the artist in excellent condition, protected by varnish to preserve its colors and finish. Shipped rolled and protected in a customized package from Spain.
Lot description.
Work, part of the series: “Viento en popa…” where I combine abstract style with the composition of maritime themes. A formal investigation that seeks atmospheres and compositions that allows me to blend gestural experimentation with realistic detail, revealing a more evocative and encompassing pictorial experience.
About the artist.
Multimedia artist, sculptor, painter, photographer and video creator. Graduated from the Higher Institute of Art (2002-2007). He has held nearly two dozen solo exhibitions—both in Cuba and abroad—and participated in more than fifty group exhibitions in various parts of the world, as well as international video creation festivals, and monumental sculpture symposiums in China and Cuba.
He has been invited on two occasions to join the main curatorship of the Havana Biennial. Throughout his career he has received several awards and recognitions, including the most important distinction awarded by his hometown to a visual artist, the Fidelio Ponce de León distinction (2017).
He has given lectures in China, Buenos Aires and at several universities in the United States, such as the School of Visual Arts in New York (SVA-NY), Carnegie Mellon University and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, as well as Montclair State University in New Jersey.
Some of his works are already part of private and/or institutional collections in Cuba and abroad. He is part of the Ignacio Agramonte Museum collection, Camagüey, Cuba. Credicop bank collection, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sculpture collections in Changchun City Park, China. Sculpture collections in Guilin City Park, China. Public art sculpture in Alamar, Havana, Cuba.
