Makayhos - [Canvas] Medusa Marble – Gilded Silence

The work depicts a sculptural figure inspired by Medusa, emerging from a marble surface structured in high-relief conceptual style. The face is carved with classical precision, while the serpents entwined in the hair extend along the surface with a fluid, enveloping movement, creating a constant dialogue between organic form and lithic matter.

The canvas is two-dimensional (2D), completely frameless, yet designed to generate a strong visual three-dimensional effect. The 3D illusion arises from the stratification of the sculpted volumes, the deep shadows and the rendering of the marble surfaces.
