Hookah base, finely hand-engraved with rich figurative decoration in Qajar style. The object has a chalice-like shape with a tall foot and a wide upper rim; the entire surface is decorated with narrative scenes: figures in traditional dress, animals, horses, architectures, trees, and floral motifs. The workmanship is highly detailed, with burin engravings and a dark stippled background that creates a strong decorative contrast. Middle East manufacture, in the Qajar style, dating roughly to the first half of the 20th century. Material: copper, silvered/tinned. Height: 26 cm. Top diameter: 20 cm. Base diameter: 15 cm.
