Subject: Classical Dutch winter landscape. Depicted is a frozen river or canal with numerous ice skaters, a village dwelling with snow-covered roofs, a prominent village church in the background, and a figure in the foreground pulling a laden boat/sleigh over the ice.
Style: Realism / Romantic Historicism (closely aligned with the famous old Dutch winter masters of the 17th and 19th centuries).

Condition: Generally good and collectible condition with age-appropriate patina. The canvas is firmly stretched on the stretcher (see back side on image_7.png). On the front in the upper right quadrant (cloudy sky) there is a small, light dent or a minimal pressure point in the fabric (well visible in oblique light on image_10.png), which has not damaged the color layer. The wooden frame is stable, but shows minimal age-related nicks along the edges.
