Description from the seller
Oil on canvas
Dimensions: 59x49 cm
This work explores the relationship between vulnerability and strength through a female figure captured in a gesture of withdrawal. Seen from behind and wrapped in her own arms, the protagonist seems to inhabit an intimate space where protection, introspection, and the search for balance become the true theme of the composition.
The anatomical delicacy, the careful lighting on the skin, and the realistic handling of the hands contrast with the simplicity of the turquoise background, creating an image of great visual and emotional impact. The color palette, dominated by blues and warm skin tones, generates a serene atmosphere that invites contemplation.
Beyond figurative representation, the work suggests a reflection on self-care, resilience, and the universal need to find refuge within oneself. The embrace is not presented as an act of isolation, but as a silent affirmation of presence, acceptance, and inner strength.
A contemporary piece that combines sensitivity, elegance, and emotional depth, able to establish an immediate dialogue with the viewer.
