Description from the seller
The image is an intense study of the human form, where corporeality is intertwined with geometric structure and elements of subversive aesthetics. The author does not offer a classic, passive act here; instead, he draws the viewer into a space defined by radical perspective and a play with focal length.
The dominant visual element is the massive, laced shoe in the foreground, which runs diagonally across the image and, thanks to the extremely shallow depth of field, becomes a tangible, almost three-dimensional object. The detailed texture of the leather and the precise rhythm of the lacing contrast with the gradual blurring towards the torso and face of the reclining figure. This compositional move creates a tension between the raw, material reality of the object and the ephemeral, soft plasticity of the exposed body.
The blurring of the lines in the background transforms the human anatomy into pure sculptural mass. The body, although seemingly in a position of surrender, retains a strong dynamism and dramatic expression. The absence of color enhances the graphic character of the work, where the deep black surface of the background isolates the figure from the surrounding world and highlights the gradation of light on the curves of the skin. The resulting visual narrative balances on a fine line between intimate confession, fetishization of detail and strict conceptual minimalism.
Printed on premium Fomei Cotton Textured 240 is a deep matte, textured fine art inkjet paper with a 100% cotton backing. Reproductions made on it will not fade: it is acid-free and does not contain optical brighteners. The photo is stamped and signed by the artist
