Description from the seller
Silver cross necklace with citrine quartz and red garnets - Art Deco style, circa 1950
A surprisingly elegant silver cross pendant (stamped 925), whose design impressively reflects the formal language characteristic of late Art Deco.
Clean lines, balanced proportions, and the fascinating union of citrine quartz and intense red garnets give this piece a distinctive presence and a timeless rendition.
The cross is accompanied by a splendid 925 silver necklace, rice-link chain with a spring clasp, all plated in 18k rose gold. The elongated, cut stones display the warm, deep red hue typical of garnet, imparting the pendant with a noble, almost sacred feel.
The design unites decorative elegance with architectural rigor — a hallmark of the transitional period of late Art Deco. The symmetrical arrangement of stones, fine silver contours, and sober ornamentation recall European jewelry works from the 1950s.
