Empire-style demi-lune wall table from France, dating to ca. 1800–1810, made of mahogany with a Gris de Marais marble top, featuring four solid mahogany pillars and gilded brass cast details, measuring 104 cm high, 122.5 cm wide and 52 cm deep, weighing 80 kg, in good used condition with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Very fine and substantial demi-lune or half-round wall table of significant size. Mahogany (Cuban flame mahogany) console table, inlaid with gilded bronze/brass cast-work. Beautiful flame mahogany on the pedestal/baset/and drawer fronts. Under the Gris de Marais marble top with no cracks, three substantial drawers with lock but without a key. On both sides below and above (also at the back) fire-gilt capitals on the four full pillars. Entirely supported by a sturdy basement on four flat round feet. In very good and ready-to-use condition. France, circa 1800 – 1810.
