This work belongs to his famous and highly sought-after series of “Tele/Foto Computerizzate,” hand-retouched photographs taken from television screens. Schifano isolates a transitory media image, transforming an ephemeral television broadcast into a lyrical and permanent artistic statement through dynamic and energetic strokes of colored enamel.
