Michiel Folkers (born 1982) presents Bear 048, a hand-pulled cobalt blue screenprint on 340 g acid-free paper, 70 × 50 cm, created in 2024 as edition 20, numbered 048, signed and stamped on the front, in excellent condition, sold directly by the artist with certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
The teddy bears used for this artwork are all second-hand or broken, fished out of a trash bin, and immortalized in this way. The bear is not only sold worldwide to art lovers and/or galleries, it is also spread on the street in various ways (see photos).
This screen print is made with a second-hand stuffed bear and 2 colors of ink (Cobalt blue with a sand-beige background). The original bear was dipped in Indian ink and printed in full on high-quality (340 grams/acid-free) paper. From this original bear work a screen print was made in an edition of 20 cobalt-blue bears.

Michiel Folkers a.k.a. Gieler (1982) began in the late 1990s with graffiti in Amsterdam. Years later he swapped street walls for canvas in his studio. In much of his work the feeling of the streets can still be seen or felt. At the moment his work travels the world and he exhibits in galleries from Zürich to New York. Especially in America his work has been popular in recent years and he hangs in the homes of several 'famous people'.
