Description from the seller
Clouds
Cyanotype on Fabriano cotton paper
35 × 50 cm
2024
Edition of 40
Hand-signed and numbered by the artist
Clouds is an original hand-printed cyanotype depicting a dramatic formation of clouds, rendered in the deep Prussian-blue tones characteristic of this historic photographic process. The image captures the changing atmosphere of the sky while preserving the tactile traces of manual printing: subtle variations in pigment, texture, and the irregular edges of the print make each work unique.
Created on high-quality Fabriano cotton paper, the work combines the material sensitivity of analogue photography with the visual language of traditional printmaking. The cyanotype process is entirely handmade, involving the preparation of the paper, exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light, and water development. As a result, no two prints are identical.
This work belongs to a limited edition of 40, individually hand-signed and numbered by the artist.
