Description from the seller
Title: Spring Silence
Roberto Mauri captures the essence of a rural landscape through a geometric and vibrant handling of color. The composition is clearly marked out by horizontal bands of color that guide the eye toward the horizon.
In the foreground, a lush expanse of acid green, speckled with touches of yellow, welcomes a white-dusted dirt path that winds sinuously into the interior of the scene, creating a strong sense of dynamic perspective. Beside it, a tree in full white bloom dominates the left-hand quadrant, casting a sharp, dark shadow that deepens the feeling of a bright, overhead light.
The central portion is characterized by a soft hillside tinted with a deep lavender, interrupted by other small blooming trees that mark distance and depth. Atop the hill stands, solitary and geometric, a typical white rural house with a red roof, a symbol of a discreet and harmonious human presence.
To crown the scene, a deep ultramarine blue sky, nearly flat, is cut by light, wispy clouds, heightening the contrast with the warm and acid tones of the earth. The artist's style stands out for a tactile yet controlled brushwork, akin to a pristine geometric primitivism that transforms the landscape into an ideal place of peace and idyllic contemplation.
