Description from the seller
"Marilyn Monroe – Abstract Portrait in Chromatic Bands"
**Description:**
Original work in **acrylic on canvas** of Marilyn Monroe, created with a powerful technique of stacked horizontal bands. Vertical format of **90 × 65 cm**. Year 2025
This work presents the icon of cinema through a contemporary and vibrant visual language: thick horizontal bands of color (red, yellow, blue, green, black and white) that crisscross and overlay, creating a fragmented and dynamic image. The technique generates an optical depth and movement effect, where Marilyn’s face and blonde hair emerge suggestively from the layers of paint, recalling both classic pop art and current abstract and expressionist movements.
The colors are intense and contrasted, with predominance of reds and yellows in the upper zone (hair and face) that descend toward blues and greens in the lower part, bringing great vitality and modernity to the composition. Pictorial details such as loose strokes, controlled drips, and small numbers or signs integrated into the surface (typical of the artist’s language) reinforce the piece’s unique gestural character.
The work blends figuration and abstraction perfectly, turning the Marilyn myth into a contemporary visual experience full of energy and color. Ideal for pop art collectors, modern portraits, or eye-catching decorative pieces.
**Technique:** Acrylic on canvas
**Measures:** 90 x 65 cm
**Condition:** Excellent
**Signature:** verso
**Authenticity and Shipping:**
The work is offered directly by Charles Farigola, guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist himself.
