For sale is this decorative 5-piece set of antique apothecary stand vessels made from beautiful amber glass. The bottles are estimated to date from 1875–1890 and are an absolute eye-catcher for lovers of historical medical objects, apothecary décor, or as stylish vintage decoration. All bottles feature the sought-after original faceted glass stopper plugs as well as well-preserved labels with the classical Latin medication names. Set details & dimensions: 1x large bottle (height: approx. 21 cm): Inscription: Carbo Ligni Pulv. (charcoal powder – historically used, among other things, for stomach/digestive complaints) 4x small bottles (height: each approx. 15 cm): Inscriptions incl.: Rhiz. Calami Pulv. (calamus root powder) Inscriptions incl.: Amygdal. Amar. (Bitter almond – formerly used for distillates and essential oils) Condition: The bottles are in very good, age-appropriate original condition with a beautiful patina. The amber glass partly shows the typical small air inclusions that attest to the authentic production of that era. The labels are enamel and show no damage.
