Description from the seller

BERLIN SERIES 1909-1933. (Piece V)
Original work on canvas by Carola Castro delivered perfectly framed.

Berlin knew how to attract toward itself and launch to the world crucial pages of the contemporary poetic adventure.

This is the fifth work Homage to Berlin 1909-1933.
I am passionate about that use of violent colors and energetic brushstrokes from that era, prioritizing the expression of subjective emotions and existential angst over faithful representation of nature.

They used an aggressive brushstroke and very bright colors to capture the chaos, fear and uncertainty of that time.

Impossible to leave this movement for my work!!

I strive to move within the action of continuing to reinvent Cubism, giving it a current feel.
I regularly access parameters I consider recurrent, such as the constant assimilation of images from the past, playing with the language of others, concentrating on old and modern painters.
I feel the sensation of constant immersion into the interior of history.

My study and research of the Cubist movement, especially the entire extensive trajectory of Picasso, takes me to unknown territories.

In each painting I try to revisit the problems and solutions Picasso posed with Cubism.
Cubism for me is a very important pictorial movement within the history of art.
