Description from the seller
The series “Utopian Architectures” builds an universe of impossible architectures where geometry stops being only structure and becomes visual thought. Through arches, planes, columns and floating volumes, the compositions propose spaces that seem to inhabit a territory between model, memory and abstraction. Each element maintains a delicate balance between stability and tension, as if the forms existed suspended in a moment prior to movement or collapse.
The use of color plays a fundamental role within the series. The intensely saturated tones — electric pinks, deep blues, solar yellows and artificial greens — transform geometry into an emotional experience before a rational one. Light, clean and precise, generates elongated shadows that extend the structures beyond the pictorial plane itself, creating a sensation of still time and a metaphysical space that recalls both certain Bauhaus and constructivist ideas and the quiet atmosphere of Giorgio de Chirico.
More than representing real buildings, these works function as mental constructions. They are architectures without practical function, conceived from intuition and contemplation, where emptiness gains as much importance as matter. In them, the viewer does not find a habitable place in physical terms, but a symbolic space to project perception, balance and inner experience. Thus the series raises a reflection on the relationship between order and emotion, between geometric rationality and poetic sensibility, placing abstraction as a way of imagining new possibilities of space and thought.
About MUMA:
MUMA is an artistic duo formed by a 3D Generalist and Designer and an Art Historian, both trained at Universidad CEU San Pablo in Madrid. Their artistic practice focuses on the plastic arts, with particular interest in color, movement and the dynamism of forms, as well as in variations of the ambience. Their work is conceived to integrate into space and establish a direct dialogue with routine and human experience, exploring a vital vision linked to the ideals of Impressionism, such as the relationship with nature, color and changing environments. MUMA is connected to the professional world of digital and plastic arts in Madrid, with participation in competitions.
On preparation, packing and shipping of the work:
The work is hand-signed by the artistic duo and comes with an authenticity certificate also signed by them.
