Description from the seller
Xandro Peña, artist born in Cuba who currently resides and works in Madrid.
His work is in private collections in the United States, Mexico, Germany, France, Spain, and Sweden.
Anthurium belongs to a series of works in which I explore the contemporary floral composition where organic and overlapping forms build a delicate balance between abstraction and representation. The vibrant palette of oranges, greens and deep blues creates a luminous and dynamic atmosphere, while the transparencies add depth, visual rhythm and a sense of enveloping movement.
Digital illustration made in Affinity with Wacom.
Art print on canvas.
Sold unframed.
Includes certificate of authenticity.
The work is shipped rolled, protected with kraft paper, in a professional shipping tube.
Unique piece, includes a 5 cm white margin on each side for mounting on a frame.
Image size: 100 x 70 cm
Overall canvas size: 110 x 80 cm
Although his artistic practice is mainly oriented toward painting, he maintains a constant relationship with engraving and digital media, both conceptually and aesthetically. His work investigates color, rhythm and structure, establishing a dialogue with contemporary abstraction and new ways of assimilating painting.
He has undertaken several artist residencies in Spain and Portugal, experiences that have contributed to expanding his formal research and his international projection.
Among his main influences are Sean Scully, Bernard Frize, Brice Marden, Raoul De Keyser, Patricia Treib and Sarah Crowner.
