Mario Padovan (1927) - Bianco 00419/837

Starting from the 1970s, Padovan introduced geometric forms into his artistic production, with particular emphasis first on the spiral and then, definitively, on the square, depicted both on the plane and in space.
In the 1980s the geometry of the solid square was developed in all its possible variants, giving rise to a long series of works.
The exploration of the square culminates in 1984, when Padovan is invited to hold a solo exhibition at the Venice Biennale. The works presented there constitute the apex of his conceptual and formal research.
