Le Yack - Underwater Living Room - Hand signed

This surreal work immerses us in the strange poetry of a 1950s living room transformed into a dreamlike aquarium. In zero gravity, a woman in a yellow dress floats gracefully, eyes closed, a martini glass adorned with an olive held in a delicate hand, seemingly indifferent to the water that has invaded her home. Her brown hair waves in the current, suspended in a waking dream of a troubling serenity.

Around her, goldfish drift peacefully between the tufted armchair, the tube television broadcasting a baseball game, and the precious wooden radio. The patterned wallpaper, family portraits, and the lit lamp compose a vintage interior perfectly reconstructed, sublimated by the greenish aquatic light. The contrast between domestic banality and the unreal submersion sculpts a dreamlike atmosphere with narrative and cinematic overtones. An invitation to daydreaming, celebrating inner escape and the beauty of letting go.

Le Yack, emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, aka Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design (ESAD) of Orléans. He is an art director in publishing and on the web. Instagram @leyack45.
