Le Yack Alpine Balcony – Hand signed, a giclée print on canvas mounted on a wooden frame, limited edition of 20 individually numbered copies from 2020 or later, front and back signed, with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist; 40 x 40 cm, France, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
This figurative work transports us to the top of a mountain chalet, facing an Alpine panorama of absolute majesty. Leaning on the wooden railing of a sunlit terrace, a man in a red knitted sweater quietly contemplates the snow-capped range that unfolds to infinity beneath a sky of dazzling blue. His contemplative posture and peaceful stillness embody the wonder of man in the face of nature’s grandeur.
The bright high-altitude light sculpts the edges of the pristine summits and casts the sharp shadows of the balcony posts on the light wooden floor. The warm red of the knit contrasts with the dazzling whiteness of the eternal snows and the deep blue of the firmament, creating a chromatic harmony of striking force. The contrast between the solitary quiet of the contemplator and the mineral immensity of the landscape shapes a decidedly “Hopperian” atmosphere. An invitation to escape, celebrating the silence and the fullness of the peaks.
