The series of works “SURGE” captures the dynamics of elemental movements — lively, present, and expressive. The pieces live on the tense contrast between matte, raw cotton and intensely pulsing, deep acrylic layers. Broad brushstrokes and expressive gestures subtly convey the physical energy of the painting process on the picture plane. While powerful, flowing forms dominate the compositions, targeted color accents elsewhere inject lively, vital impulses. Because the unprimed canvas is deliberately left untouched in many places, the works breathe and develop a fascinating, tangible depth. It is a harmoniously balanced interplay of dense color structures and minimalist free spaces. The works have a strong visual presence and enrich every room.
