Giorgio Toccaceli, born in Castelfidardo, Italy, 1954. He has a background as a caricaturist for newspapers, participated in the Tolentino International Caricature Museum, in the Humour Biennale; his art spread through exhibitions dedicated to him such as “Dip into Color” or “Hidden in the Canvas,” the latter taking its name from his well-known signature—drawing himself inside his paintings. His playful inspiration, which brings smiles, exudes sweetness and makes you think. His caricatures and his paintings are capable of “immortalizing” in a single action the feelings, virtues, and vices of an entire community, contextualizing them and offering a sarcastic, yet always delicate, glimpse of society itself. Giorgio Toccaceli’s art is in constant flux and moves with imagination among varied graphic lines, adapting to the times without chasing them.
