Description from the seller
Nicole Lubbers has been active at an international level for years within the contemporary art world. Her work has been exhibited in cities such as New York, Prague, and this month in Colling. She has exhibited twice in Times Square and placed second at the World Art Awards. She has also participated in various international biennales, and her work is represented in several galleries spread across Europe.
With her latest collection, Nicole Lubbers is forging a clearly new artistic path. While her international experience remains perceptible, she now deliberately chooses stillness, layering, and authenticity. In her recent works she explores the fragile beauty of memory, blur, and emotional resonance.
Working with durable oil paint, acrylic, and charcoal, she creates aesthetic compositions that feel like faded manuscripts of memory — intuitive, poetic, and raw at the same time. Her canvases balance between abstraction and recognition, between stillness and movement. Each work bears traces of emotion, time, and human presence.
The works are created on stretched canvas of 50 x 70 cm and intentionally presented without a frame. This preserves the purity of the work and gives the collector the freedom to tailor the artwork entirely to their own interior and experience — both with and without a frame.
For Nicole Lubbers, art is no longer about image alone, but about feeling, memory, and matter. Her new series forms an intimate encounter between sustainability, aesthetics, and personal expression — a re-discovery of painting and drawing in their most authentic form. This work comes with a certificate of authenticity.
