Description from the seller
Nicole Lubbers has been active for many years at the international level within the contemporary art world. Her work has been exhibited in cities such as New York, Prague, and this month in Colling. She has exhibited twice on Times Square and placed second at the World Art Awards. In addition, she has participated in various international biennales and her work is represented in several galleries across Europe.
With her latest collection, Nicole Lubbers forges a distinct new artistic path. While her international experience remains palpable, she now consciously chooses stillness, layering, and authenticity. In her recent works, she investigates the fragile beauty of memory, fading, and emotional resonance.
Working with sustainable oil paints, acrylic, and charcoal, she creates aesthetic compositions that feel like faded manuscripts of memory — intuitive, poetic, and raw at the same time. Her canvases balance between abstraction and recognition, between silence and movement. Each work bears traces of emotion, time, and human presence.
The works are created on stretched canvas of 50 x 70 cm and are intentionally presented without a frame. This preserves the purity of the work and gives the collector the freedom to adapt the artwork entirely to their own interior and experience — both with or without a frame.
For Nicole Lubbers, art is no longer just about imagery, but about feeling, memory, and matter. Her new series forms an intimate encounter between sustainability, aesthetics, and personal expression — a reinvention of painting and drawing in their most authentic form. This work comes with a certificate of authenticity.
