Description from the seller
Nicole Lubbers has been active for years at the international level within the contemporary art world. Her work has been exhibited in cities such as New York, Prague, and this month in Colling. She exhibited twice on Times Square and achieved second place at the World Art Awards. In addition, she participated in various international biennales and her work is represented in several galleries spread across Europe.
With her latest collection Nicole Lubbers forges a distinctly new artistic path. While her international experience remains perceptible, she now consciously opts for stillness, layering and authenticity. In her recent works she explores the fragile beauty of memory, fading and emotional resonance.
Working with durable oil paint, acrylic and charcoal she creates aesthetic compositions that feel like faded manuscripts of memory — intuitive, poetic and raw at the same time. Her canvases balance between abstraction and recognition, between quiet and movement. Each work bears traces of emotion, time and human presence.
The works are made on stretched canvas of 50 x 70 cm and are deliberately presented unframed. This preserves the purity of the work and gives the collector the freedom to tune the artwork entirely to their own interior and experience — with or without a frame.
For Nicole Lubbers, art is no longer just about image, but about feeling, memory and matter. Her new series forms an intimate encounter between sustainability, aesthetics and personal expression — a re-discovery of painting and drawing in their most authentic form. This work comes with a certificate of authenticity.
