The Museo Reina Sofía preserves several works from his early period, between 1928-1935.[6] Critics have linked his work to certain aspects of Goya with a naïve touch.[3][c] In 1999, the Blanchard Gallery of Madrid dedicated a retrospective show to him, bringing together ten oils, eleven watercolors and two drawings, dated between 1960 and 1968.[7]
