πJS aka Stephen Joannon (Artist, Gallerist, Exhibition Curator, Music Critic…)
Versatile visual artist and carrier of forms, πJS presents here a series of editions derived from his painting work currently displayed in the gallery. This series reworks the icons of Pop Art and contemporary Street Art with the artist's own codes. Discover these editions in advance before you can bid on the actual acrylic-painted paintings that will go on sale mid-July. Do not hesitate to also explore the artist's sculpted works (Les Robbit). A series of vividly colored sculptures, playful homage to the worlds of Barry Flanagan, Jeff Koons and Kaws, infused with the electronic motifs of Herbie Hancock — particularly Rockit (1983), from which his name is derived. Realized in Tourrettes-sur-Loup in collaboration with an exceptional craftsman, the collection comes in four silhouettes, each subsequently hand-painted in strictly unique variations.
Poem of metal and matter, ROBBIT blends bold pop with playful softness: a sculptural presence that strikes with its chromatic optimism and its visual melody. These pieces, designed to cross viewers and complete contemporary collections, are produced in limited editions — an invitation to seize the work before its disappearance.
