Description from the seller
A refined Japanese karaki wood display stand crafted in a style inspired by traditional Chinese scholar’s furniture. The square top is supported by elegantly curved legs with openwork carved aprons and a geometric lower shelf, creating a balanced and graceful silhouette. Finished in a rich dark tone, the stand was designed for displaying bonsai, okimono, incense burners, tea utensils, or fine ceramics within a tokonoma alcove. The restrained decoration highlights the beauty of the wood and craftsmanship, while the open structure gives the piece a light and sophisticated presence. An attractive decorative stand suitable for both traditional Japanese interiors and contemporary collections. Presented in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
