Medsan, Autumn Blower (秋のブロワー) - Hand Signed - 2/2, a 40 × 40 cm giclée on canvas from 2026, edition 2/2, in Pop Art style with a Culture Pop depiction, produced in France and in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
With this square-format work, Medsan explores the unexpected meeting between traditional Japanese craftsmanship and the brutality of modern tooling. This print features a gardener, dressed in the classic worker’s attire (the hachimaki headband, the blue geometric-patterned happi jacket, the wide pants and jika-tabi shoes), engaged in an autumn maintenance task.
The striking visual contrast lies in the tool used: the character firmly wields a motorized leaf blower in a bright orange, instead of the traditional bamboo broom. The air expelled by the machine generates a powerful and elegant swirl of red and orange maple leaves (momiji), creating a flowing dynamic that traverses the left side of the composition. These swirling natural elements, treated with the finesse of classic prints, oppose the industrial and noisy modernity of the mechanical device.
The impact of the composition is intensified by the use of a solid azure blue background, which makes the warmth of the autumn hues and the character’s skin tone pop. The gardener’s anchored posture, reminiscent of martial or theatrical poses in ukiyo-e, lends an almost heroic dimension to this everyday action. The traditional red cartouche in the top right, bearing the signature "Medsan" in katakana (メドサン), perfects the balance of this scene resolutely anachronistic.
A piece with obvious charisma, offering a playful perspective on the evolution of practices, ideal for adding a colorful, elegant, and contemporary touch to a design space.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a studio of artists united around living and plural contemporary creation. Installed as a genuine site of artistic production, the studio operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on the projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. The Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. Alongside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo follows a more instinctive path, blending abstract art, outsider art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created, and followed within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and a unique identity for each artist.
