This beautiful painting is original and by the Katwijk artist Cor Schaap, who finds his inspiration in life by the sea. Schaap received his training from Joop van Leeuwen, the well-known impressionist from The Hague. Both along the coast and in his studio, he captures with a loose, fluent brushstroke the atmosphere of the beach, sky and light.
