Expressionistische figurenstudie, an original work in mixed media on paper by Léon Zack (Belgium, 20th century), unsigned, in good condition, sold with frame, image size 17.2 × 22 cm and framed size 32.5 × 36 cm.

Beautiful work of an "expressionist figure study" - Léon Zack - (1892-1980). Belgium, 20th century
Particularly figurative work in ink and wash technique on paper, professionally framed with a mat and a gold gilded frame. The expressive composition shows several figures in a dramatic and almost theatrical scene, executed with a free, lively line work that is characteristic of twentieth-century modern art and references Leonardo da Vinci's drawings.
On the reverse there is an old handwritten note stating: "Dessin de Léon Zack" (drawing by Léon Zack), supplemented with a personal inscription or provenance note. Also present is the original label from the Brussels framer Gabriel Van Thienen, located on Rue de l'Enclume in Brussels, indicating a historical Belgian provenance of framing.
