Description from the seller

Rare apothecary vessel porcelain “OPIUM” with gold decoration – DT Paris France, circa 1970/80 – complete with lid

The lot features an unusually decorative and elegant apothecary stand vessel made of high-quality, white-glazed porcelain. The vessel bears the historically fascinating and highly sought-after inscription “OPIUM” among collectors.

Details of the item:

Inscription: OPIUM in clear black block letters, set within a magnificent royal blue and gold Baroque cartouche.

Special feature: The original perfectly fitting lid is equipped with a fully gold-plated knop, giving the vessel an especially noble appearance.

Origin & brand: On the underside is the original brown base mark of the French manufactory “D T PARIS - FRANCE” (with tower motif) as well as a blind collector/form number (750) in the unglazed shard.

Age: Manufactured in the late 20th century (approx. 1970s/1980s) as a high-quality museum replica for upscale pharmaceutical decoration.

A spectacular eye-catcher for the apothecary counter, collectors of medical history, or as an extravagant design object for the private living area.

(Note: The vessel is of course completely empty and serves purely decorative and historical purposes. Shipping is carried out extremely securely padded and packed.)

Private sale; deviations in measurements possible in mm range.
