Splendid and fascinating jewelry box / secret puzzle (Puzzle Box) of fine Sorrentine artisanal craftsmanship, dating from the first half of the twentieth century.
The exterior is entirely crafted from precious olive wood, characterized by warm flame-like grains, with the famous design that simulates a stack of bound books.
The top lid is decorated with a micromosaic frame and a central inlay featuring swallows in flight..
Excellent vintage condition. The interior fabric and the mirror display the normal, charming signs of age that attest to its authenticity, with no tears or structural damage.
